Victory in the Pacific Day (VP Day) marks the conclusion of World War II and is commemorated each year on 15th August.
This year, in honour of the 75th anniversary of VP Day and in recognition of the men and woman who served in World War II, the City of Parramatta has created a unique VP Day Online Experience. Through a range of historical articles, profiles, local stories, and exhibits from the NSW Lancers Museum, visitors will be able to learn more about this significant moment in history.
Our city is proud to be the home of the 1st/15th Royal NSW Lancers, Australia’s most decorated unit.
Did you know that the Lancer Barracks are the oldest Military Barracks on mainland Australia, and date back to 1819?
